The department has well qualified and experienced staff. The department is enriched with the laboratories of de facto standards. The laboratories are equipped with various latest software and hardware. The institution has procured around 170 computers of WIPRO branded  core 2 duo 1.8 GHz with 1 GB RAM,180 GB Data HDD, optical mouse combo drive with 17” TFT monitors and all machines are enabled Wi-Fi. The Campus is within the Wi-Fi range of BSNL. The institute has procured the software to match with the requirement of B.E I & B.E II. The Legal software available are Visual Studio 6.0,  Oracle 10g, Linux, SQL 2005, ETNL Language Lab, Windows 2003 server, Windows XP, Quick heal Antivirus, Norton Antivirus 2009, Microsoft Office 2007 etc. Students are trained in Computer Programming for engineering applications to meet the IT Industry challenges.

The department is also providing LCD and projector facility for the effective teaching.

Department focuses on making the student enough competent to get placed in well known companies. The department arranges various expert lectures, educational visits, programming contest for students. The overall goal of the department is to make brilliant and dynamic students to meet the industry challenges.
